The long success of the show is down to its creators, Jim Fortier and Dave Willis, who thanks to their fantastic writing and knack for portraying cutting, absurdist humor, have helped solidify Squidbillies as one of Adult Swim's best shows. Despite the endless chaos the family cause for their neighbors, the squid's crimes are usually ignored due to their classification as an endangered species. Squidbillies follows the lives of a family of anthropomorphic squids living in a small town in Georgia, with the foul-mouthed mollusk's trying to make ends meet, often to the detriment of others. Despite entering its final run, Squidbillies will join the likes of Aqua Teen Hunger Forceand Robot Chicken as one of Adult Swim's longest-running shows, totaling well over 100 episodes across its almost seventeen-year history. Airing as part of Cartoon Network's late-night Adult Swim programming block, Squidbillies season 13 is also confirmed to be the show's final season.
